Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned small animal practice in Bisley, Surrey looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its friendly, community-focused team. The position offers a high level of clinical autonomy alongside structured mentorship and support from an experienced local veterinary network.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position primarily based at the Bisley practice. The successful candidate will also work one weekend in six at a nearby 24-hour hospital, providing exposure to a broader and more complex caseload.

The role includes participation in the on-call and bank holiday rota. Specific weekday hours and on-call frequency have not been provided and can be discussed during the recruitment process.

Role Description
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will manage a varied first-opinion caseload across consultations, medicine and surgery, with the autonomy to develop their own approach and clinical interests while benefiting from experienced support when required.

The role offers significant scope for development through regular 1:1s, mentorship, funded certificates and access to colleagues across five connected local practices. There are also opportunities to develop towards more senior clinical or leadership positions.

Team Size
The Veterinary Surgeon will have their own practice team and client base while being connected to a wider network of five local practices. Experienced Lead Vets provide clinical mentorship, with additional support available from an experienced Partner and colleagues across the wider group.

Practice Details
The practice is a community-focused first-opinion clinic with an established client base. Through its hub-and-spoke structure, the team has access to a nearby 24-hour hospital for more complex cases, advanced diagnostics and additional clinical expertise.

Working occasional weekends at the hospital also provides the opportunity to gain experience with a wider range of cases and work alongside experienced hospital clinicians.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS who values clinical autonomy while also benefiting from a strong support and mentorship network. They should be confident delivering high-quality patient and client care and enjoy working collaboratively with colleagues.

The practice is particularly suited to a Veterinary Surgeon keen to continue developing their clinical skills, pursue a certificate or particular area of interest, or potentially progress into a senior clinical or leadership position.
