Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a long-established and well-respected GP veterinary clinic located in a popular West London suburb. With a strong presence in the local community and a loyal client base, the practice offers a welcoming and supportive environment alongside excellent facilities and access to wider hospital support.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time role working 2 days per week (Thursdays and Fridays, with Friday being an 8-hour day). The rota includes a 1:3 branch Saturday, 1:8 Sundays alongside a nearby hospital team, and 1–2 bank holidays per year. There are no on-call requirements.

Role Description
This is a first opinion GP role involving a mix of consultations and routine surgery. You will be responsible for examining patients, forming evidence-based treatment plans, performing surgical procedures within your competence, and maintaining accurate clinical records.

You will also ensure compliance with current medicines legislation, refer cases appropriately when required, and contribute to a collaborative team environment. This role offers flexibility and the potential to expand into a full-time position across nearby practices, providing further variety and development opportunities.

Team Size
You will be supported by an experienced and established team including a senior vet, RVNs, and trainee nurses, all working collaboratively to deliver high standards of care.

Practice Details
The practice is a spacious, well-lit clinic with modern facilities including three consult rooms, a large kennel area, and a dedicated prep and theatre space. It benefits from strong links with a nearby veterinary hospital for out-of-hours care and complex case referrals, ensuring additional clinical support is always available. The clinic is well-located with excellent transport links and on-site parking, offering convenience for commuting while being close to both green spaces and central London.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with experience in first opinion practice and confidence in both consultations and routine surgery. You will be a strong team player with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high standards of patient and client care. A proactive and collaborative approach, along with the ability to work effectively within a supportive team, will be key to success in this role.
