Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is an independent hospital group seeking a Small Animal Vet to join their supportive multi-branch team. The practice treats dogs, cats, rabbits and small furries, and offers a varied caseload supported by certificate-holding colleagues in ophthalmology, dermatology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics, and dentistry, as well as a visiting specialist cardiologist.
Rota Details
The role offers flexibility with 2, 3, or 4 days per week plus a 1:3 Saturday rota. Half days (09:00–14:00) or full days (09:00–19:00) are available to support childcare, school pick-ups, or work-life balance. There are no out-of-hours or bank holiday duties, with emergencies redirected to an external provider.

The practice operates three branches with a strong internal referral network and a collaborative culture. The team includes multiple certificate holders and visiting specialists, enabling vets to manage complex cases while benefiting from peer support.
Description of the Role
This is a general practice position for an experienced all-rounder with strong client skills and a team-player attitude. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, work collaboratively with specialists, and have the opportunity to develop or bring additional skills in diagnostic imaging, ultrasonography, or cardiology.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is an experienced general practitioner confident in managing a broad range of cases. Certificate holders are encouraged to apply, though motivated vets seeking skill development within a highly skilled team will also be welcomed.
Practice Equipment List
The practice is well-equipped to support advanced diagnostics and treatments, with a full in-house Idexx laboratory offering haematology, biochemistry, urine analysis, and cytology, as well as Zoetis VetScan Imagyst for cytology and faecal analysis. Imaging facilities include Digital Radiography (CR) with AI technology via SignalPet, dental digital radiography, an ultrasound/ echocardiography, ensuring comprehensive diagnostic capabilities across a wide range of cases – The practice is also willing to invest and support interests with additional equipment
