Introduction
Our Client’s practice is an RCVS-accredited mixed practice established in 1977, providing care to Small Animal, Farm and Equine patients, and they are currently looking to recruit a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon for this role. The clinic is forward thinking and offers an extensive range of medical and surgical services on site, with a strong focus on maintaining excellent clinical standards and encouraging case continuity.

Working Hours / Rota
This position is available on a part-time or full-time basis, with full-time hours being 40 hours per week worked over 4 days. There are no out-of-hours requirements, and the practice is open to discussing flexible working patterns to suit the right candidate.

Role Description
This is a first-opinion Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon position within a practice offering a varied medical and surgical caseload. You will be supported to follow cases through with continuity and will work alongside an experienced nursing team who run nurse clinics and are keen to assist with Schedule 3 procedures. The role also offers the opportunity to support and teach clinical team members, with funded CPD and development actively encouraged.

Team Size
You will join a collaborative clinical team supported by experienced veterinary nurses who actively contribute through nurse clinics and Schedule 3 procedures, creating a supportive environment where teamwork and shared learning are prioritised.

Practice Details
The practice is RCVS accredited and has been established since 1977, operating as a mixed clinic caring for Small Animal, Farm and Equine patients. It is fully equipped to provide an extensive range of medical and surgical services on site, including diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive procedures, and promotes a progressive, team-focused approach to patient care.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience working in small animal clinical practice and will be committed to delivering excellent clinical standards. They will be enthusiastic, team-oriented, and enjoy supporting and teaching colleagues, with a genuine passion for veterinary medicine and a flexible approach to working patterns.

Medical Equipment
Blood machines (in-house), endoscopy, laparoscopic neutering equipment, Tonopen, ultrasound, and x-ray.
