Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a standalone small animal surgery located in the beautiful market town of Alsager. This locally run practice offers a unique opportunity to work closely with the owner, enabling quick decision-making and genuine input into clinical and operational choices. The team prides itself on delivering high-quality patient care within a supportive, inclusive, and community-focused environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The role offers flexible working options with both full-time and part-time hours available. Ideally, working days would include Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, although this can be discussed. The rota includes 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00am – 12:00pm). There are no Sundays or out-of-hours requirements, supporting an excellent work-life balance.
Role Description
This role is suited to an experienced Veterinary Surgeon confident in both medicine and routine surgical procedures. You will manage a varied first-opinion caseload, with full clinical freedom to work up cases and deliver the highest standard of care.
The practice encourages professional development, with strong support for CPD and certificate study. Working closely with an experienced owner and team, you will have opportunities to expand your clinical interests and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.
This is an ideal role for a vet seeking autonomy, flexibility, and a supportive environment where their voice is valued.
Team Size
The team consists of 3 vets (2 FTE), including experienced clinicians and a recent graduate with an interest in exotics, supported by 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, and 2 receptionists, creating a friendly and collaborative working environment.
Practice Details
This is a light, spacious, standalone practice located on the main street, equipped with modern facilities and a strong focus on patient care. The practice is Autism Friendly accredited, promoting an inclusive environment for both clients and staff.
The clinic benefits from excellent transport links and a loyal client base, with a varied caseload supporting both clinical development and job satisfaction.
