Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is a long-established veterinary charity dedicated to providing essential veterinary care to pets whose owners are experiencing financial hardship. With over a century of service, they are committed to expanding access to care and ensuring pets and people can stay together during difficult times.

This is an opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a supportive and collaborative hospital team in Southampton, delivering meaningful, welfare-focused care in a varied and rewarding clinical environment.

Role Description
This position offers exposure to a diverse caseload of medical and surgical cases, providing both professional challenge and development. You will be responsible for delivering pragmatic, evidence-based veterinary care, balancing clinical best practice with the individual circumstances of each client.

You will create clear and realistic treatment plans, communicate effectively with clients, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high standards of patient care. The role requires resilience, adaptability and strong clinical judgement in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will contribute to ongoing service development and help promote a culture of continuous improvement within the hospital.

The Southampton hospital operates within a highly collaborative framework, encouraging case discussion and shared learning. The clinical team holds a wide range of interests, offering strong peer support and knowledge sharing.

The hospital is modern and well-equipped, with separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
