Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s hospital is a well-equipped veterinary facility offering a supportive and collaborative environment for clinicians looking to work at a high clinical level. The hospital provides access to advanced diagnostic tools and a varied caseload, making it an excellent setting for vets with a strong interest in internal medicine and imaging.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a predominantly hospital-based role. Working hours and rota are not explicitly stated, though flexibility is required to support occasional work across additional sites when needed.

Role Description
This is a hospital-based Veterinary Surgeon role with a strong focus on internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. You will manage a varied and often complex caseload, working cases up thoroughly and independently while collaborating with the wider clinical team when required.

The role involves handling medical cases, performing diagnostic imaging, and contributing to both routine and more advanced surgical procedures, including abdominal surgery. There is also exposure to emergency cases, making this a dynamic and clinically engaging position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a vet looking to further develop their expertise in imaging and internal medicine, with strong support for certification and continued professional growth.

Team Size
You will be part of a supportive and collaborative hospital team, working alongside experienced veterinary surgeons and clinical staff, encouraging knowledge sharing and professional development.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic facilities, supporting a high standard of clinical care across a wide range of medical and surgical cases. The environment is designed to facilitate thorough case workups and ongoing development in specialist areas such as imaging and internal medicine.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 5 years’ clinical experience. You will have a strong interest and proven experience in diagnostic imaging and internal medicine, with certification (or working towards) highly desirable. Confidence in managing complex cases independently, including emergency presentations and advanced abdominal surgery, is essential. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and flexibility to support multiple sites are key to success in this role.
