Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned practice seeking an experienced General Practice Veterinary Surgeon to join their branch clinics in Pulborough and Ashington. The practice is committed to delivering exceptional, personalised veterinary care while maintaining clinical freedom and a collaborative working environment. The successful candidate will have access to excellent clinical support and referral services while enjoying the autonomy of branch practice.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across a four-day week, with 10-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30am and 7:30pm and a one-hour lunch break. The role includes participation in a shared 1 in 6 weekend and bank holiday rota, with two days off in lieu for any weekends worked.

Role Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced General Practice Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working in a branch practice environment. The successful candidate will provide a high standard of first opinion veterinary care, including consultations, routine surgical procedures and dentistry, while also undertaking sole charge responsibilities when required.

Working collaboratively with the hospitals in Storrington and Chichester, the South Downs Emergency Vets night service and South Downs Veterinary Referrals, the role offers the reassurance of strong clinical support while maintaining the rewarding continuity of care that branch practice provides. The practice actively encourages professional development and supports Veterinary Surgeons wishing to enhance their clinical skills or pursue further qualifications.

Team Size
The successful candidate will become part of a supportive multidisciplinary team working across the branch clinics and wider veterinary group. Close collaboration with experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, emergency clinicians and referral specialists ensures excellent clinical support and continuity of patient care.

Practice Details
The role is based across the Pulborough and Ashington branch clinics, located approximately seven miles apart. Both clinics have been thoughtfully designed to create a warm, welcoming and home-from-home environment for clients and patients while providing high-quality first opinion veterinary services.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with at least four to five years of UK general practice experience. Applicants should be confident managing sole charge responsibilities, performing routine surgical procedures and carrying out dentistry, while delivering excellent standards of patient and client care.
