Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy and well-supported 24-hour facility. This role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative clinical environment with access to advanced equipment and an experienced multidisciplinary team.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position within a 24-hour hospital environment. Specific rota details can be discussed during the recruitment process.
Role Description
The Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for delivering high standards of clinical care through consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures. The role involves assessing patients, preparing tailored treatment plans, and communicating clearly with clients regarding diagnoses and care options.
Veterinary surgeons will work collaboratively with the nursing and support teams to ensure efficient patient management and continuity of care. Responsibilities also include clinical handovers and arranging appropriate transfers for patients requiring ongoing or enhanced care.
The role encourages active participation in mentoring and supporting colleagues, helping to develop clinical skills across the team. Veterinary surgeons will also contribute to maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance and promoting best practice within the wider clinical community.
Team Size
The practice team includes 4.5 veterinary surgeons, supported by a dedicated nursing team consisting of RVNs, student veterinary nurses, VCAs, and an experienced reception team.

The hospital is a well-equipped 24-hour veterinary facility providing a wide range of services. The practice benefits from modern clinical equipment and purpose-built facilities designed to support high-quality patient care.
Facilities include advanced imaging, surgical equipment, and a full laboratory suite. The hospital provides separate wards for cats and dogs and modern consultation rooms designed to create a comfortable clinical environment for both patients and clients.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with experience delivering high standards of clinical care. Candidates should be confident working within a team environment and capable of supporting colleagues to maintain efficient clinical workflows.
