Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned small animal practice seeking a compassionate and dedicated first opinion Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team in Pontefract, West Yorkshire.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time permanent position.

The role includes a 1 in 6 weekend rotation and a Bank Holiday rotation at the nearby hospital site.

Role Description
You will deliver exceptional clinical care to patients across consultations and routine surgery, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory and operational compliance.

The role includes developing tailored treatment plans, working up medical cases, and ensuring clear and compassionate communication with clients.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues within the clinic and the wider hospital network, contributing to shared case discussions and continuity of care.

This position offers the opportunity to develop within a strong clinical network, with support from experienced surgeons and access to advanced facilities at the associated hospital.

Team and Practice Environment
The Pontefract clinic offers a welcoming and supportive working environment with three spacious consulting rooms, a dedicated X-ray suite, a fully equipped theatre and a separate dental room with dental radiography.

The practice works closely with a nearby hospital site, providing access to advanced equipment, experienced surgeons and a wider clinical community to support complex cases and ongoing professional development.

Location
Pontefract is a well-connected town in West Yorkshire offering a blend of local amenities and access to surrounding countryside. The collaboration with the Dearne Valley hospital provides both strong local support and access to wider clinical resources.
