Job Description
Introduction
Our client is seeking a friendly and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their small, supportive team at an independent small animal practice. This part-time role, with potential for additional holiday cover, offers an opportunity to work in a well-established, client-focused environment with no corporate ties. The practice prides itself on providing a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, with a strong emphasis on continuity of care for both pets and their owners.
Working Hours / Rota
The role is part-time, with days and hours negotiable to suit the candidate. There are no weekends or out-of-hours duties, and the caseload is exclusively small animal, offering an excellent work-life balance while allowing the Veterinary Surgeon to maintain a fulfilling professional role.
Role Description
The Veterinary Surgeon will be confident in routine consultations, general surgery, and diagnostic workups. They will work independently while receiving full support from an experienced, close-knit team. Responsibilities include conducting consultations, preventative health care, nurse clinics, dentistry, microchipping, neutering, and utilising the practice’s full operating facilities. The role provides an ideal balance of professional autonomy and team support, allowing the candidate to develop their skills further.

The practice is supported by a small but highly experienced team of veterinary surgeons and nurses who work closely together to ensure the best care for patients while maintaining a supportive and collaborative working environment.

This well-established independent small animal practice offers modern equipment, including digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. The services provided include a full range of veterinary care such as behavioural advice, endoscopy, pet cremation, and blood testing (biochemistry and haematology). Ideal Candidate
