Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-equipped practice featuring a separate operating theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and endoscopy. The practice also benefits from access to advanced imaging such as MRI and CT scanners at a nearby orthopaedic referral clinic. A scheduled refurbishment in the near future will further enhance the modern facilities.

The team is led by a highly experienced and dedicated head nurse, supported by three student nurses, two client support assistants, and an office manager. Together, they handle a busy general caseload and are committed to providing the highest level of patient care.

This permanent, full-time role involves working 40 hours per week over four days, with a 1:3 half weekend rota. Part-time applications are welcome, and the practice is open to flexible working arrangements to accommodate individual needs.

The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with proven experience in delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential, along with demonstrated clinical leadership abilities. Experience in fostering a progressive clinical culture and supporting nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures is highly desirable, particularly with an understanding of how these contribute to clinic performance and efficiency.

This role offers a dynamic and supportive environment, ideal for a veterinary professional looking to thrive in a well-resourced and patient-focused practice.
