Working Hours / Rota
Flexible working options are available to support a healthy work–life balance. Both full-time and part-time roles are currently available, with opportunities for permanent and temporary positions. Role Description
This is a varied first-opinion role within a busy and rewarding hospital environment. You will see a broad range of medical and surgical cases, allowing you to develop your clinical skills while making a meaningful impact on pets and owners who rely on the service.

You will use your clinical judgement to make evidence-based decisions and create realistic treatment plans that balance best practice with each owner’s individual circumstances. The role requires resilience, adaptability and a pragmatic, welfare-focused approach. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will build trust with clients and work collaboratively with colleagues across the hospital. You will also contribute to service improvement and help champion the organisation’s mission within the community.

Team Size
You will be joining a highly collaborative hospital team with varied clinical interests, creating a strong environment for case discussion, shared learning and peer support.

Practice Details
The Centre is modern and well-equipped, with separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment. The hospital promotes teamwork, continuous learning and high clinical standards.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon (MRCVS) who is confident in medical and surgical first-opinion work. You will be comfortable discussing realistic treatment options with clients and taking a pragmatic, welfare-focused approach to clinical decision-making. Adaptability, resilience and strong communication skills are essential. You will thrive in a collaborative team environment and have a genuine passion for making veterinary care accessible.
