Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a friendly and close-knit small animal clinic located in Northampton, with an established team and loyal client base. Following a recent rebuild, the team is excited to move into a brand-new, purpose-built facility, continuing their strong ethos of kindness, collaboration, and putting patient care first.
Working Hours / Rota
This role offers flexible working between 25 and 40 hours per week. The rota includes 1 in 3 Saturdays, with shorter working days on bank holidays worked on a rotational basis. There are no out-of-hours or on-call requirements, supporting a strong work-life balance.
Role Description
This position is suited to an experienced GP Veterinary Surgeon confident in routine consultations and surgery, although consulting-only roles can be considered. You will manage your own caseload with support from a skilled and collaborative team, allowing for continuity of care and strong client relationships.
The role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to develop clinical interests, with strong encouragement for CPD and further qualifications. You will also contribute to a positive team culture, supporting colleagues and maintaining high standards of patient and client care.
Team Size
The team consists of an experienced Practice Owner/Vet, an additional Veterinary Surgeon, a Head Nurse, RVN, Student Nurse, VCA, Practice Manager, and a dedicated reception team, creating a supportive and well-established working environment.

The clinic is designed to provide a calm and supportive environment for both patients and staff, with a strong focus on teamwork, wellbeing, and high clinical standards.
