Introduction
Our Client is a well-established small animal practice based in Northampton, forming part of a wider group of five branch surgeries supported by a 24-hour hospital. Established in the 1960s, the practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high standards of care across Northamptonshire and South Leicestershire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Veterinary Surgeon seeking a sole-charge role within a supportive and community-focused environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday only, offering an excellent work–life balance. Working hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday 8:30am–5:30pm, and Tuesday and Thursday 9:00am–6:00pm. There are no out-of-hours requirements.

Role Description
The role is suited to a Veterinary Surgeon who has completed their VetGDP and is confident working in a sole-charge capacity. You will deliver high-quality consultations and routine surgical procedures while building strong relationships with clients in the local community.

You will be supported by a small but friendly team of three colleagues who are committed to delivering exceptional patient and client care. The wider network and 24-hour hospital provide additional clinical support when required, ensuring comprehensive care for more complex cases.

This position offers clinical autonomy alongside the backing of an experienced and collaborative wider team.

Team Size
You will work within a close-knit branch team of three colleagues, with additional support from the wider group of five branches and the 24-hour hospital. The team prides itself on being friendly, sociable, and supportive.

Practice Details
The branch is part of a long-established veterinary group providing care across Northamptonshire and South Leicestershire. The practice is supported by a 24-hour hospital for emergency and advanced care cases.

Located in Northampton, the practice benefits from excellent transport links, close proximity to the M1, and easy access to Birmingham and London, while also being surrounded by attractive countryside.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon who has completed their VetGDP. You will be confident working sole charge and comfortable engaging with clients to build long-term relationships.
