Introduction
Our Client’s clinic in Margate is looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and collaborative team. This is a full-time permanent opportunity for a vet who thrives on variety, enjoys both medical and surgical cases, and wants to make a meaningful difference to pets and owners in the local community.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The role offers flexible working options to support work-life balance and individual circumstances. Weekend and OOH duties are not stated in the advert.

Role Description
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will manage a varied medical and surgical caseload, making sound, evidence-based decisions and creating clear treatment plans tailored to each pet and owner’s circumstances. No two days are the same, offering a broad caseload that will support continued clinical development.
You will work closely with colleagues across the hospital, sharing knowledge, discussing cases and contributing to the ongoing improvement of services. The role has a strong focus on practical, welfare-led veterinary care, client communication and delivering accessible treatment options.

Team Size
You will be joining a friendly, experienced and caring team in a highly collaborative hospital environment. The team has varied clinical interests, creating a supportive setting for shared learning, case discussion and development.

Practice Details
The hospital is modern, well-equipped and designed to support a wide range of clinical services. Facilities include separate dog and cat kennelling, in-house radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases and extensive orthopaedic equipment.
The hospital provides a donation-funded service as well as a private pragmatic service for clients who need accessible and good-value veterinary care.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with adaptability, resilience and confidence managing a diverse caseload. You will be comfortable discussing realistic treatment options, creating clear plans and balancing best practice with each owner’s circumstances.
Excellent communication skills are essential, along with a pragmatic, welfare-focused approach and the ability to build trust with clients. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, sharing knowledge and learning from colleagues.

Medical Equipment
The hospital is equipped with endoscopy, in-house radiography, orthopaedic equipment, piped gases and ultrasound.
