Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned Hospital seeking an experienced Area Veterinary Surgeon to join their team, supporting a 24-hour Hospital and surrounding practices. This is an exceptional opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to combine stability, flexibility, and variety within a progressive and supportive environment.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role, typically worked over four days per week, with participation in the weekend rota. Part-time options may be considered for the right candidate.

The role spans several practices within North London, centred around the Hendon 24-Hour Hospital. The hospital acts as a central hub providing emergency, inpatient, and referral-level care. Each location is equipped with modern facilities, including advanced diagnostic imaging and surgical equipment. Role Description
The Area Veterinary Surgeon will provide clinical support across multiple practices, performing consultations and surgeries, supporting local teams, and maintaining continuity of care. The role combines routine caseloads with emergency and referral-level work, offering exposure to a wide variety of cases. Responsibilities also include mentorship, sharing best practices, and contributing to team performance and efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of five years’ UK experience. They will be confident performing routine surgeries independently, adaptable to different clinical environments, and committed to delivering high-quality patient and client care. Strong communication, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to teamwork are essential, alongside a genuine passion for clinical excellence and personal development.
Practice Equipment
Facilities across the hospital and surrounding clinics include advanced diagnostic imaging, surgical suites, and comprehensive inpatient support, enabling the delivery of high-level clinical care.
