Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a first-opinion small animal surgery located in one of London’s most desirable areas, close to King’s Road. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced Vet Surgeon to deliver exceptional clinical and client care within a well-supported sole charge environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The role operates on a four-day working week with Fridays off. The rota includes one in four branch Saturdays, one in ten hospital Sundays at a nearby 24-hour referral hospital, and one bank holiday per year. There are no on-call duties associated with this position.

Role Description
This is a sole charge GP role focused on delivering outstanding patient and client care. Daily duties include consultations, routine and soft tissue surgery, prescribing and dispensing medications, and maintaining detailed clinical records. You will work closely with an experienced RVN to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, oversee clinical diaries, and help action practice protocols. Leadership training is provided, and referral support is readily available for complex cases or out-of-hours care.

Team Size
The practice team consists of one Vet Surgeon working alongside an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse and two Student Veterinary Nurses, with wider clinical and referral support available from a nearby 24-hour hospital.

Practice Details
The practice has recently benefited from investment to enhance its facilities and working environment. It includes two consulting rooms, a full in-house laboratory, a spacious prep and theatre area, and a dedicated staff rest area. Excellent referral and emergency support is available from a nearby 24-hour hospital, ensuring continuity of care for patients.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a confident Vet Surgeon comfortable with sole charge GP practice. You will thrive in a client-focused environment, delivering five-star service alongside high clinical standards. Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to leadership and practice organisation are essential.
