Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is seeking a confident Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their established five-vet team in North London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a modern, progressive first-opinion practice committed to delivering high clinical standards within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 42 hours per week over 4 days.

The rota includes 1 in 4 Saturdays, 1 in 8 Sundays, and 1 Bank Holiday per year.

Role Description
You will provide high-quality first-opinion care through consultations and routine surgical procedures, working cases up to a strong clinical standard. Consultations are appointment-based with a minimum of 15 minutes per patient, allowing for thorough and tailored care.

You will collaborate closely with the experienced veterinary and nursing team, maintaining excellent communication with clients and delivering contextualised patient care.

This role offers genuine opportunity for professional growth, with structured development programmes and support for further certification.

Practice Details
The practice is modern and well-equipped, featuring on-site surgical, dental and diagnostic facilities. Equipment includes digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, ultrasound and a comprehensive in-house laboratory.

The practice is RCVS-accredited under the Practice Standards Scheme (Core), Cat Friendly accredited, and holds Investors in the Environment status, with additional accreditations in progress.

As a nurse training practice, there is a strong commitment to supporting early-career professionals and maintaining a positive learning culture.

Team Size
You will be joining a friendly and experienced team of five Veterinary Surgeons, supported by a collaborative nursing and client care team. The practice promotes teamwork, case discussion and shared clinical development.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience within a UK small animal practice. You will be confident with routine surgery and consultations, and demonstrate strong teamwork, communication and client-care skills.

A commitment to delivering high-quality, contextualised patient care and a proactive approach to professional development are essential for this role.
