Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice in Islington, North London is a well-established and highly regarded small animal surgery with a loyal local client base and an excellent reputation for patient care. Located in a vibrant and well-connected part of London, the practice offers a supportive and collaborative working environment alongside access to advanced facilities and ongoing professional development opportunities.
The team prides itself on maintaining high clinical standards while fostering a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for both clients and colleagues.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time fixed-term maternity cover contract for 6 months starting in June 2026.
The role involves working 40 hours per week across 4 days with a shared rota of 1 in 3 Saturdays.
Role Description
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will manage a varied caseload involving consultations, diagnostics and surgery while delivering exceptional standards of patient and client care. This role would particularly suit a Veterinary Surgeon with strong surgical experience looking to work within a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities include case management, surgery, treatment planning and maintaining high clinical and regulatory standards. The position also provides opportunities to contribute to wider clinical development and internal veterinary communities.

The practice team includes experienced Veterinary Surgeons alongside strong support from the Branch Partner and a collaborative wider clinical network focused on delivering excellent patient care.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with strong surgical experience and a passion for clinical excellence and client care.
