Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team on a fixed-term contract of up to 12 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary surgeon with at least 12 months of UK small animal experience who is looking to develop their clinical skills within a busy, well-equipped practice offering a varied caseload and excellent mentoring from experienced colleagues.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time fixed-term position working a four-day week with fixed days off to promote an excellent work-life balance. The role includes 1 in 3 Saturdays, along with participation in a shared out-of-hours and Bank Holiday rota through a nearby 24-hour hospital. The out-of-hours commitment is minimal and well-supported.

Role Description
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will provide high-quality first opinion care through a varied caseload of consultations and surgery while maintaining the highest standards of clinical and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with experienced colleagues who are committed to mentoring and supporting your professional development. The role offers an excellent opportunity to build confidence across a broad range of medical and surgical cases while developing strong relationships with clients and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Team Size
You will join an experienced and welcoming team consisting of two Veterinary Surgeons, five Registered Veterinary Nurses, and five Client Care Assistants, all working together to deliver exceptional patient and client care.

The practice is a busy, well-equipped first opinion clinic offering a varied caseload designed to support continued clinical development. As part of a wider veterinary network, you will also have access to a nearby 24-hour hospital for out-of-hours support, advanced clinical facilities, and additional opportunities for collaboration and professional growth.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 12 months’ UK small animal experience. You will be passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care, confident managing routine consultations and surgery, and eager to continue developing your clinical skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
