Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned hospital and operates as a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC). They are preparing to launch a brand-new veterinary hospital in Hull, further expanding their services across Yorkshire, with plans to open in January 2027. Operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the hospital will provide accessible, affordable, high-quality veterinary care alongside continuous patient care and emergency services. Their commitment to affordable veterinary medicine, including free daytime consultations, affordable out-of-hours consultations and transparent pricing, enables the team to manage a varied and rewarding caseload while delivering exceptional patient care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week over a four-day week. The role includes participation in a 2 in 9 weekend rota, providing an excellent work-life balance while supporting the hospital’s 24-hour service.

Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a brand-new hospital from its opening. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied caseload with a balanced mix of consultations and surgical procedures, providing excellent opportunities to develop both medical and surgical skills.

Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, the role offers exposure to a wide variety of first opinion cases while contributing to the delivery of accessible, affordable veterinary care. As part of the founding team, the successful candidate will also help shape the culture and future success of the new hospital while maintaining high standards of patient and client care.

Team Size
The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team, working alongside experienced Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care as the new hospital grows.
