Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice/hospital and operates a well-established small animal practice based in Sutton-on-Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire. Set within a Grade II listed building, the practice benefits from a loyal and longstanding client base and a supportive leadership structure. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in their career within a stable, well-supported environment without the pressure of building a client base from scratch.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The rota includes one in three Saturdays, worked between 9:00am and 12:00pm. There are no out-of-hours duties associated with this role, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
Role Description
This role is well suited to a confident Veterinary Surgeon with a medical bias who is happy to undertake minimal surgical duties. You will be responsible for delivering high standards of clinical care across consultations and case management, developing tailored treatment plans, and working collaboratively with a supportive and experienced team. The position offers the opportunity to focus on clinical excellence, continuity of care, and professional development within a first-opinion practice setting.
Team Size
You will work alongside an experienced Practice Manager, Lead Veterinary Surgeon, Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, and a strong, established nursing team. The wider team works closely together to provide consistent, high-quality patient and client care.
Practice Details
The practice is housed in a characterful Grade II listed building and is well equipped to support high standards of small animal medicine. As part of a wider veterinary group, the practice benefits from access to additional resources, clinical communities, referral centres, and advanced facilities across the network.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS with a strong interest in small animal medicine and confidence in managing medical cases. You will be comfortable performing minimal routine surgery and enjoy working collaboratively within a supportive team. Excellent communication skills, a client-focused approach, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care are essential.
