Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned practice seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing and collaborative team.

Rota Details
This role can be full or part-time, with full-time hours totalling 40 per week. Out of hours duties are minimal, comprising a maximum of one night on call per week and one weekend every four weeks within a shared weekend day shift rota.

Information About the Practice
The practice is well-established with a team of 11 Vets and 14 Nurses. It is an RCVS Graduate Development Practice with a trained VetGDP Adviser onsite, providing strong support for both experienced vets and those developing their confidence.

Description of the Role
The role involves first opinion small animal work, including consulting, hospital inpatient care, and surgery. The working week is varied with opportunities to pursue special interests and contribute to clinical discussions, ward rounds, and practice improvements. Support for certificates or special interests is encouraged.

Practice Equipment List
The practice features six consulting rooms, two theatres, a dental suite, and separate wards for cats, dogs, and isolation. Equipment includes ultrasound with abdominal and cardiac capabilities, endoscope, laser therapy, diathermy unit, and a busy in-house laboratory processing over 50 samples daily. Ongoing investment in equipment continues.
