This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet seeking flexibility, a varied caseload and a positive workplace culture where your contribution is truly valued.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position ideally based on a three-day working week, with flexibility offered regarding which days are worked. There are no out-of-hours or Sunday commitments, allowing you to maintain an excellent work–life balance while still engaging with a fulfilling and varied clinical caseload.
Role Description
This role offers a strong blend of surgery and medicine within an established GP setting. The successful candidate will be confident managing routine procedures and consultations, with 20-minute appointment slots and dedicated admin time provided throughout the day to support organised, high-standard clinical work. You will contribute to ongoing cases, deliver excellent patient care, and build strong, trusting relationships with clients and colleagues. The role suits someone personable, motivated, and keen to continue growing within a stable and supportive environment.
Team Size
You will be joining a happy and close-knit team of eleven colleagues across clinical and non-clinical roles. The veterinary team includes three vets, one of whom holds a certificate in orthopaedics, offering an excellent opportunity to collaborate and learn from experienced clinicians. The practice prides itself on its friendly atmosphere, low staff turnover, and shared commitment to delivering the highest standard of care.
Practice Details
The practice offers a spacious working environment with three consulting rooms and a separate kitchen and office area for the team. A wide variety of cases is seen each day, and the team enjoys working up cases thoroughly to a high clinical standard. The location provides superb transport links, including direct train routes into London in under 30 minutes and a direct bus to Luton Airport within 25 minutes. This makes it an ideal base for those seeking both convenience and a welcoming workplace.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced small animal Veterinary Surgeon confident with routine surgeries, medical case management and day-to-day consultations. You will be personable, enthusiastic, and skilled at forming strong working relationships with both clients and colleagues. A commitment to excellent patient care and clear communication is essential, along with a desire to contribute positively to the ongoing development and reputation of the practice.
