Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned practice/hospital and operates a well-established small animal practice based on Hayling Island, Hampshire. The practice has built a strong reputation for delivering high standards of care to both clients and patients and prides itself on fostering a supportive, collaborative working environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and experienced team within a thriving coastal community.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across four days. Part-time rotas can also be considered for the right candidate. Working patterns will be discussed to ensure a healthy work-life balance and flexibility where possible.

Role Description
The Veterinary Surgeon will manage a varied first-opinion caseload, with opportunities to work with exotics and perform laparoscopic procedures if desired. The role offers strong clinical support and encourages vets to utilise their full skill set while building their own client base. You will work collaboratively with colleagues, deliver empathetic and professional client communication, and maintain high clinical standards. Certificate study is actively supported for those wishing to further develop their expertise.

Team Size
You will join a friendly and supportive veterinary team within an established practice environment. The wider group network provides additional development support and collaborative learning opportunities.

Practice Details
The practice is well equipped with modern facilities to support a wide range of general practice cases. Advanced procedures, including laparoscopy, are available, and the caseload includes exotics. The location offers a coastal lifestyle while remaining easily commutable from surrounding Hampshire and West Sussex towns and cities.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a confident GP Veterinary Surgeon who is adaptable, empathetic, and comfortable managing varying client expectations. You will be passionate about delivering high-quality patient care, enjoy working within a team environment, and be keen to continue developing your clinical skills. Applications from both full-time and part-time candidates are welcomed.
