Our Client’s practice is a recently refurbished, modern clinic in Greater London, offering a high-quality working environment and a strong focus on patient care. With excellent facilities and a supportive network of nearby practices and 24-hour hospitals, the practice provides a great opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to take on a rewarding and impactful role within a collaborative and forward-thinking setting.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position working up to 30 hours per week, alongside a 1 in 6 weekend rota. The role offers a balanced and manageable schedule, with out-of-hours care supported by a dedicated emergency hospital, ensuring no regular OOH commitments.

Role Description
This is a varied and rewarding role where you will deliver exceptional clinical care through consultations and procedures while managing a diverse caseload. As a sole-charge Veterinary Surgeon, you will take responsibility for clinical decision-making, patient care plans, and client communication. The position also involves mentoring and developing team members, supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the practice. You will have the opportunity to shape clinical standards and influence the direction of the clinic while working within a supportive wider network.

Team Size
You will lead and work alongside a small, dedicated team including a Head Nurse and a patient care team, all committed to delivering high standards of care and supporting one another.

Practice Details
The practice has been recently refurbished to a high standard and includes two consult rooms, a separate nurse consult room, a large prep area, a designated imaging room, a refurbished operating theatre, and modern staff facilities. It is equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and benefits from support from a nearby 24-hour hospital with CT capabilities, ensuring access to enhanced care when required.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical experience and the confidence to work in a sole-charge environment. They will demonstrate excellent leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience in developing teams and promoting a progressive clinical culture. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to deliver outstanding care to both patients and clients. The successful candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and committed to maintaining high clinical standards while supporting continuous improvement within the practice.
