Our Client’s practice is a recently refurbished, modern veterinary clinic finished to a high standard. The practice offers a bright and spacious working environment with excellent facilities, supporting a high level of clinical care. With strong connections to nearby practices and access to a well-equipped emergency hospital, the team benefits from both independence and collaborative support when required.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position working up to 30 hours per week, with a 1:6 weekend rota. There are no out-of-hours requirements as these are covered by a dedicated emergency hospital.

Role Description
This role offers a varied and engaging caseload, including both medical and surgical work, with a particularly high number of feline cases and involvement in local charity neutering schemes. You will be responsible for delivering excellent clinical care during consultations and procedures, creating tailored treatment plans, and maintaining clear communication with clients.

In addition, the role involves leading and supporting a small team, mentoring colleagues, and helping to drive clinical standards across the practice. You will play a key role in shaping and developing the practice, while also benefiting from strong opportunities for career progression, including further study and certificate support.

Team Size
The team includes an experienced Head Nurse alongside a dedicated patient care and client care team, all working closely together to deliver high-quality service and maintain a supportive working environment.

Practice Details
The practice has been recently refurbished to a high standard, providing a modern and well-designed clinical space. It features two consult rooms, a separate nurse consult room, a large prep area, a dedicated imaging suite, and a fully updated theatre, alongside a spacious waiting area and staff facilities. The practice works closely with nearby clinics, ensuring support is always available for more complex cases, and benefits from access to a nearby emergency hospital equipped with advanced imaging including CT. The clinic also has a strong focus on feline patients and participates in local charity neutering initiatives, contributing to a varied and rewarding caseload.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with solid clinical experience and a passion for delivering exceptional care to both patients and clients. You will be confident working as part of a team while also comfortable in a sole charge environment, demonstrating strong communication and leadership skills. Experience in mentoring colleagues, supporting nurse consults and Schedule 3 procedures, and contributing to a progressive clinical culture will be highly valued. A proactive and collaborative approach, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and clinical excellence, is essential for success in this role.
