Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned, two-branch practice set in the scenic Norfolk countryside, seeking a dedicated Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their close-knit team. This is an ideal role for a vet looking to work in a progressive, supportive environment with a strong focus on high clinical standards, compassion, and team wellbeing.

Rota Details
This role offers outstanding flexibility, with both full-time and part-time working patterns considered. There is no fixed out-of-hours requirement—OOH duties are negotiable, and there’s even the option to work exclusively out-of-hours for those seeking daytime flexibility. Consults begin at 10am, giving space for morning activities and promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Information About the Practice
The practice operates across two well-equipped branches and is proud to offer both general practice and ECC services without subcontracting its OOH work, ensuring consistent patient care. The team is small but highly experienced, working in a genuinely collaborative environment with strong leadership support and a culture that prioritises personal and professional development.

Description of the Role
The role involves a varied caseload of medicine, surgery, and emergency work, with clinical freedom to work cases up thoroughly. The practice has a strong preventative care ethos and works closely with a local cat shelter, bringing interesting variety to the caseload. The Senior Vet will be encouraged to contribute to the ongoing development of the practice, bringing energy, initiative, and leadership to the team.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be RCVS registered, confident in both surgery and medicine, and comfortable handling sole charge and emergency cases. Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and a genuine interest in contributing to team morale and clinical growth are key. While experience with exotics and postgrad qualifications are welcome, they are not essential. Confident new graduates with the right mindset are also encouraged to apply.

Practice Equipment List
The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray, high-quality ultrasound, a dental suite, and in-house blood testing facilities. They are committed to accurate diagnostics, pain and stress management, and the highest standards of veterinary care.
