Working Hours / Rota

Role Description
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will manage a diverse first opinion caseload covering both medicine and surgery while delivering high standards of patient and client care. You will make evidence-based clinical decisions, create practical treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs, and communicate clearly with clients throughout their pet’s care. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to continuous clinical improvement, share knowledge with colleagues, and support the hospital’s commitment to compassionate, accessible veterinary care.

Team Size
You will become part of a highly collaborative hospital team where veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support colleagues work closely together to discuss cases, share knowledge, and provide exceptional patient care within a supportive learning environment.

Practice Details & Equipment
The hospital is a modern, well-equipped facility featuring separate dog and cat wards, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, extensive orthopaedic equipment, and in-house diagnostic facilities. The varied caseload and collaborative environment provide excellent opportunities to further develop both medical and surgical skills.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys working with a varied caseload and is committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate patient care. You will be adaptable, resilient, and an excellent communicator, confident discussing realistic treatment options while working collaboratively within a supportive team.
