Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice is opening a brand-new, purpose-built veterinary surgery in the Feltham, Ashford and Sunbury area and is seeking two experienced Veterinary Surgeons to join the founding team and help shape the practice from day one.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 4 days per week with 9-hour shifts, averaging 39 hours per week. The rota includes a 1 in 4 weekend commitment, with dedicated admin time built into every shift.

Role Description
You will play a key clinical role within the surgery, delivering high-quality first-opinion care while helping to set clinical standards. Your responsibilities will include consulting, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of cases, performing routine and more advanced surgical procedures, and promoting preventative healthcare. You will build strong client relationships, support and mentor the nursing team, and lead by example in clinical governance and patient care. There are excellent opportunities to develop clinical interests and grow within a supportive, progressive environment.

Team Size
This is a brand-new practice, offering the opportunity to work alongside the Head Vet and be part of building a collaborative, supportive team from the ground up.

Practice Details
The practice is purpose-built, modern, and spacious, designed to create a calm and welcoming environment for patients, clients, and staff. Facilities include 8 consult rooms, 3 operating theatres, separate dental and imaging suites, a spacious prep area, and wards. The practice is supported by a large, independent, family-owned veterinary group with a strong focus on investment, development, and continuous improvement.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with over 3 years’ UK experience and strong all-round GP skills. They will be confident in both medicine and surgery, with a passion for delivering excellent patient care and building strong client relationships. A collaborative approach, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset are essential, along with an interest in developing clinical specialisms.
