Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a busy, purpose-built small animal surgery located in Romford, offering excellent transport connections into Central London within 25 minutes and easy access to the Essex countryside. The practice is well-established with a large and experienced clinical support team and provides a varied and interesting caseload across both medicine and surgery. The team has a strong focus on professional development and clinical excellence, with support available for further study and certificate qualifications.

Working Hours / Rota
The full-time rota is worked across 4 weekdays. The weekend commitment is just 1 in 6 full weekends and 1 in 6 Saturdays only. Part-time hours will also be considered for the right candidate. There is occasional sole charge required within the role.

Role Description
This role would suit a confident Veterinary Surgeon with strong internal medicine experience and solid surgical ability. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload involving consultations, diagnostics, routine surgeries and medical cases. You will be expected to work confidently with clients, provide excellent customer service and contribute positively to the collaborative team environment. The practice actively supports career progression, including certificate study and CPD development.

Team Size
The practice has a large and supportive team consisting of 13 Veterinary Surgeons, 12 RVNs, 10 Student Nurses and 10 Receptionists. There is also a dedicated onsite day and night team providing continuous patient care and support.

Practice Details
The surgery is purpose built to industry-leading standards and offers advanced facilities and equipment to support a high clinical standard. The practice has a varied caseload and strong clinical interests across medicine, soft tissue surgery and orthopaedics. The team continually invests in equipment and services to improve patient care.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ UK small animal experience alongside significant internal medicine experience. Applicants should be competent with routine surgical procedures, confident with occasional sole charge and possess strong diagnostic and medical skills. The practice is seeking someone with excellent communication abilities, a flexible approach to practice and a genuine passion for delivering high standards of patient and client care within a collaborative team environment.
