Job Description

We’re recruiting Veterinary Surgeons across Edinburgh and the surrounding region, partnering with independent practices, established groups, and veterinary hospitals. Whether you’re seeking a first-opinion GP role, a surgically focused caseload, or a progressive hospital environment, we maintain a consistent pipeline of permanent opportunities to match varied clinical and career ambitions.

Most roles offer flexible rota patterns, ranging from part-time 2–3 day weeks to full-time 4-day arrangements. Many practices operate with no OOH requirements, and weekend rotas are typically light or optional depending on the clinic.

Typical duties include consultations, diagnostics, routine soft-tissue surgery, dental procedures, imaging interpretation, case management, clinical record-keeping, and client communication. Some positions also offer support for certificate study, structured mentorship, or progression into Senior or Lead Vet roles.

Our clients span independent clinics, boutique small groups, and national veterinary employers — giving you options on culture, caseload, clinical standards, and work–life balance.

Requirements:
RCVS registration, right-to-work status, recent small-animal practice experience.

Why work with us?

We prioritise clear communication, accurate job matching, and a straightforward hiring process. You’ll only be shown opportunities that genuinely align with your skills, salary expectations, rota preferences, and long-term goals.

You can expect:

  • Full job detail ahead of interviews

  • Transparent salary ranges and benefits

  • Interview guidance and package negotiation support

  • Honest advice about progression and clinical development

Requirements

  • RCVS registration

  • Right to work in the UK

  • Recent small-animal clinical experience (typically 2+ years unless stated otherwise)

  • Competent in routine consultations and surgery

  • Good communication and teamwork skills
