Our Client is an independent veterinary charity seeking a Senior Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and collaborative hospital team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinary surgeon looking to combine clinical leadership with a varied medical and surgical caseload while making a genuine difference to pets and owners. Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent full-time position, with flexible working arrangements available for the right candidate. Specific working patterns can be discussed during the recruitment process to support a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description
As Senior Veterinary Surgeon, you will manage a diverse first opinion caseload, including more complex medical and surgical cases, while acting as a senior clinical resource for the wider team. You will provide second opinions, support evidence-based clinical decision making, mentor and coach colleagues, and help maintain excellent standards of clinical governance. Alongside delivering outstanding patient and client care, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, champion best practice, and support the implementation of new ways of working throughout the hospital.

Practice Details & Equipment
The hospital is a modern, well-equipped facility offering separate dog and cat wards, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, piped gases, and extensive orthopaedic equipment. The varied caseload and excellent facilities provide outstanding opportunities to manage both routine and more advanced cases while working alongside experienced clinicians.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical experience and the confidence to lead complex cases and support colleagues. You will possess excellent communication and mentoring skills, enjoy coaching others, and be committed to delivering evidence-based, compassionate patient care. A proactive approach to clinical governance, continuous improvement, and collaborative teamwork will be essential to success in this role.
