Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a part-time Veterinary Surgeon to join their award-winning team in Crawley, West Sussex. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and motivated vet to be part of a supportive, close-knit clinic with a strong local reputation and access to extensive development opportunities.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position working 20 hours per week. Flexibility can be discussed to ensure the rota fits your individual needs while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Role Description
As Veterinary Surgeon, you will deliver outstanding clinical care during consultations and procedures, while ensuring clients are kept fully informed and supported. You will be responsible for admissions, discharges, treatment planning and maintaining accurate patient records. The role includes working to the highest regulatory and operational standards, preparing clear estimates, ensuring payments are collected, and contributing to the clinic’s financial health. You will also play a part in mentoring colleagues, supporting graduate vets, and fostering a progressive, team-focused clinical culture. This is a position where you will enjoy clinical variety, continuity of care, and the chance to make a lasting difference to both patients and clients.

Team Size
You will work within a welcoming and supportive team consisting of four receptionists, two full-time nurses, four part-time nurses and an experienced all-round vet who provides additional surgical support. The team is collaborative and friendly, creating a positive working environment.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be an RCVS-registered veterinary surgeon with at least two years of post-graduate experience. You will be confident in delivering high-quality care, with strong communication skills and the ability to build excellent relationships with both clients and colleagues. Experience in supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures will be advantageous, as will the ability to mentor and influence colleagues positively. A collaborative outlook, clinical leadership skills, and a genuine passion for animal welfare are key qualities for this role.
