Job Description
Introduction
Our Client’s practice is part of a well-established veterinary group based around Colchester and is looking to welcome a new Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to their supportive and collaborative team.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time, permanent role working four days per week, with shared weekend commitments. The rota is designed to support a healthy work-life balance while ensuring consistent clinical cover across the practice.
Role Description
You will be responsible for routine consultations and case work-ups, carrying out diagnostics, forming treatment plans, and performing routine and basic soft-tissue surgical procedures. The role involves clear and compassionate client communication and close collaboration with experienced RVNs and support staff. There are excellent opportunities for mentorship, clinical development, and certificate study support, making this an ideal environment for both developing and experienced clinicians.
Team Size
You will be joining a friendly and experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons, RVNs, and dedicated support staff who work closely together to deliver high standards of patient care.
Practice Details
This is a well-established small animal practice offering access to a wide range of in-house diagnostic and treatment facilities. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon who is RCVS registered (or eligible), confident with routine consultations, diagnostics, and basic soft-tissue surgery. They will be client-focused, compassionate, and professional, with a collaborative approach to teamwork and a genuine motivation to continue developing their clinical skills.
