Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned practice seeking a confident Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive first opinion team. This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinary surgeon looking to enjoy a high degree of clinical freedom while working alongside experienced colleagues in a well-equipped practice with a loyal client base and excellent opportunities for professional development.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent part-time position, ideally working three days per week, although flexibility is available for the right candidate. The role also includes 1 in 4 Saturdays at a nearby branch and some sole charge responsibilities.

Role Description
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will provide high-quality first opinion care through a varied caseload of consultations and routine surgery. You will have the opportunity to manage your own cases, build lasting client relationships, and work cases up to a high clinical standard. Alongside experienced colleagues, you will benefit from mentorship, collaborative case discussions, and ongoing support while enjoying the clinical freedom to develop your own interests through funded CPD and certificate opportunities.

Team Size
You will work closely with an experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon holding a postgraduate certificate, alongside a dedicated nursing and support team. Additional support is available through the wider regional veterinary network, providing excellent opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Practice Details & Equipment
The practice is well-equipped to deliver a high standard of first opinion care, with facilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, and endoscopy. Backed by a wider veterinary network, the practice also offers access to advanced clinical support, ongoing professional development, and collaborative working with neighbouring practices and referral services.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with at least one year’s small animal experience. You will be confident with first opinion consultations, routine surgical procedures, and comfortable undertaking some sole charge responsibilities. A collaborative approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care are essential, alongside a commitment to ongoing professional development.
