Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s hospital is an RCVS-accredited, Tier 3 veterinary hospital located in North Wiltshire, supported by multiple branch practices. Known for delivering exceptional standards of care, the hospital combines advanced facilities with a highly skilled and collaborative team environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week across a 4-day week (Monday to Friday), with an average of 2 additional hours per week contributing to the weekend rota.

Role Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to step into a Senior Veterinary Surgeon role with leadership responsibilities, supporting the Clinical Director and helping shape the future of the practice.

You will deliver high standards of clinical care across a varied caseload while taking on a key leadership role within the team. Responsibilities include supporting clinical governance, contributing to service development, mentoring colleagues, and deputising for the Clinical Director when required.

You will play a pivotal role in maintaining clinical standards, managing complex cases, and supporting team development, while also contributing to strategic decision-making and improving patient outcomes and client experience.

Team Size
You will work within a large, highly skilled team of Veterinary Surgeons, Registered Veterinary Nurses, and support staff across multiple sites.

Practice Details
The practice operates as a Tier 3 hospital with additional branch clinics, offering advanced veterinary services within a modern, well-equipped environment. It is RCVS-accredited and provides high-level clinical care supported by excellent facilities and a strong emphasis on teamwork and professional development.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical skills and a passion for leadership. You will be confident in managing a varied caseload and supporting colleagues in their professional development.

You will possess excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to lead by example and contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture. Previous leadership or mentoring experience is highly desirable.
