Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a modern, spacious small animal clinic located in Chesterfield, offering a supportive and collaborative working environment focused on delivering high-quality veterinary care. Situated on the edge of the Peak District, the practice combines excellent facilities with a strong commitment to employee wellbeing and professional development.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week. The rota includes 1 in 4 weekends. The practice supports a healthy work-life balance with structured appointment times, including 15-minute routine consultations, 30-minute euthanasia consultations, and consultations finishing 30 minutes before closing each day.

Role Description
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team in a well-equipped practice.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical and surgical care, managing consultations, performing routine and more advanced procedures, and building strong relationships with clients. The role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to work cases up to a high standard with the support of an experienced team.

The practice actively supports career progression, including funded certificates and CPD, making this an ideal role for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to further develop their clinical interests and skills.

Team Size
The team consists of 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Nurses, 5 Client Care Advisors, and a Practice Manager, creating a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Practice Details
The practice is modern, light, and spacious, featuring advanced diagnostic and clinical facilities. It is designed to support both high-quality patient care and a positive working environment, with a focus on clinical excellence and team wellbeing.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 2 years’ experience, confident in both medicine and surgery.

You will be a friendly, calm, and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for helping pets and their owners. A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to delivering outstanding patient care are essential.
