Introduction
Our Client is a corporately owned small animal practice in Carterton, Oxfordshire looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join its established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a vet seeking a supportive environment with plenty of clinical autonomy and the opportunity to develop their interests across medicine or surgery.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a permanent, full-time position working 40 hours across four days per week. Weekend duties are shared on a 1:6 basis at a nearby 24-hour hospital.

Role Description
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will manage a varied first-opinion caseload across consultations, medicine and surgery, with the freedom to develop their own clinical interests and build relationships with an established client base.

The position offers excellent scope for professional development through funded certificates, internal CPD and wider clinical communities. There is also the opportunity to gain additional experience through the nearby 24-hour hospital.

Team Size
The practice operates with a 3.5 Vet team, including an experienced Partner with a particular interest in orthopaedics. The successful candidate will join a friendly and supportive clinical environment focused on collaboration and continued development.

Practice Details & Equipment
The practice is well equipped for a broad first-opinion caseload, with facilities including ultrasound, ECG, a dedicated dental suite, in-house laboratory and laparoscopic equipment.

The team also benefits from access to wider clinical support and facilities through a nearby 24-hour hospital.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS with a passion for high-quality patient and client care. They should enjoy working collaboratively while also valuing the freedom to manage their own cases and develop their clinical interests.

The position would particularly suit a Veterinary Surgeon looking for a supportive environment in which to progress their medical or surgical skills, pursue further qualifications and take greater clinical ownership.
