This is a rare opportunity to work in a truly independent practice, where clinical freedom, continuity of care, and team wellbeing are prioritized over corporate targets.

Working Hours / Rota
their Veterinary Surgeons work four 10-hour days per week, with a 45-minute lunch and two 15-minute breaks, all of which are paid. Starting times vary to accommodate handovers and are fairly shared across the team, ranging from 8:15am–6:15pm, 8:30am–6:30pm, or 9:15am–7:15pm. Weekend work is required, typically no more than 1 in 4, with Saturday including consultations and Sunday being emergency-only shifts, supported by a competent RVN. The practice has recently launched a 24-hour service with a separate team covering nights, ensuring nights are not part of the standard rota.

Role Description
As a Veterinary Surgeon , you will have the autonomy to provide first-opinion small animal care without unnecessary pressure or targets. You will manage consultations, surgeries, and diagnostic work, supported by an experienced and approachable team.
