Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice in Easthampstead, Berkshire is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to lead and develop a growing small animal practice. Located within the leafy suburb of Harmans Water in Bracknell, the surgery benefits from excellent transport links to Reading and London alongside close access to the M3 and M4.

The practice is well-supported by nearby specialist and referral centres, creating an ideal opportunity for a clinically driven Veterinary Surgeon looking to combine leadership responsibilities with ongoing clinical progression and case development.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 4 days per week with a fair share of weekends.

The practice is flexible and open to discussing alternative working patterns where required.

Role Description
The successful Veterinary Surgeon will take a leading role within the practice, overseeing clinical standards, team development and patient care while helping drive the continued growth of the surgery. Responsibilities include consultations, surgery, clinical handovers, mentoring colleagues and supporting the wider clinical and commercial performance of the practice.

The role offers excellent exposure to varied first opinion work with access to nearby specialist services including orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, dermatology, medicine, ultrasonography, dentistry, exotics and ophthalmology.

This would particularly suit an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with strong leadership skills who enjoys mentoring teams, developing clinical standards and contributing positively to practice growth. An interest in ophthalmology would be advantageous but is not essential.

Team Size
The practice operates within a collaborative and supportive team environment alongside close links to nearby specialist and referral teams across the wider veterinary network.

Practice Details
The practice is well-equipped with modern facilities including 3 consultation rooms, dental radiography and separate cat and dog wards. The surgery also benefits from easy access to a nearby 24-hour centre and surrounding specialist practices providing advanced referral support.

Located in Harmans Water, the practice is situated close to local shops and leisure facilities while benefiting from excellent road and transport connections.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with strong clinical leadership abilities and a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care. Applicants should be confident mentoring colleagues, driving clinical standards and contributing to the ongoing success and growth of the practice.

The practice is seeking someone collaborative, commercially aware and enthusiastic about creating a progressive clinical culture within a supportive team environment.
