Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week across a 4-day rota. The position includes a 2 in 9 Saturday rotation. No out-of-hours requirements are specified.

Role Description
This is a varied Veterinary Surgeon role within a busy first opinion environment, managing a diverse caseload of primarily sick and injured pets. You will be responsible for consultations, diagnostics, and surgical procedures, with strong exposure to both routine and more complex cases, including orthopaedics.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop your clinical skills while working in a fast-paced setting. You will collaborate closely with a supportive team, contributing to high standards of patient care and continuous clinical improvement.

Team Size
You will be working within a collaborative and supportive team of veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff, all committed to delivering exceptional care.

Practice Details
The clinic is modern and well-equipped, featuring three operating theatres including a dedicated dental suite with dental radiography, and seven consultation rooms. The practice handles a high surgical caseload, including orthopaedic procedures, providing excellent opportunities for clinical development. The environment supports both medical and surgical case management within a well-resourced setting.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, confident managing a varied caseload. You will have strong clinical and surgical skills, a passion for delivering high-quality patient care, and a desire to continue developing your expertise. Excellent communication skills, a team-oriented mindset, and alignment with a not-for-profit ethos are essential.
