Introduction
Our Client is a well-established veterinary practice based in Birmingham, West Midlands, located close to Sutton Coldfield and just 15 minutes from Birmingham City Centre. The practice has a long-standing presence in the local community and benefits from a strong, experienced clinical team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a team of 6 Vets supported by a large nursing team, managing a varied caseload of both medical and surgical cases within a well-equipped practice environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week. The rota includes 2 in 5 Saturdays from 9am to 4pm. Part-time hours can be discussed for the right candidate.

Role Description
In this role, you will deliver exceptional clinical care through consultations and surgical procedures, maintaining high standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance. You will develop tailored treatment plans in partnership with clients and manage a varied caseload covering both medical and surgical cases.

The practice benefits from the support of an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon who undertakes complex orthopaedic and fracture repairs, providing exposure to advanced surgical work. You will work collaboratively within a supportive and experienced team, contributing to shared clinical knowledge and mentoring where appropriate.

Team Size
The practice consists of 6 Veterinary Surgeons supported by a large and experienced nursing team, fostering a collaborative and well-supported working environment.

Practice Details
This is a long-established and well-equipped practice featuring diagnostic surgical equipment, an ultrasound scanner, digital x-ray, and a dedicated dental machine. The presence of an experienced Orthopaedic Surgeon enables the practice to manage complex orthopaedic cases and fracture repairs in-house.

The location offers convenient access to Birmingham City Centre while being situated in a leafy area of the West Midlands.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon with experience in both medical and surgical practice. You will demonstrate a passion for clinical excellence and high standards of client care.

Strong teamwork skills, confidence in routine surgery and consultations, and a proactive approach to case management are essential. An interest in developing clinical skills further within a supportive team environment will be highly valued.
