Our Client’s hospital is an RCVS-recognised Outstanding Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic, providing comprehensive 24/7 care to pets across the local community. Established in 2002, the hospital has developed into a centre of excellence, combining first-opinion, emergency, and referral-level services within a single facility.

Working Hours / Rota
The practice offers flexible working arrangements and is open to discussing full-time, part-time, or weekend-only roles. All Veterinary Surgeons participate in the weekend rota, typically 1 in 2 weekends for full-time vets and 1 in 4 weekends for part-time vets.

Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly respected hospital environment offering exposure to both first-opinion and advanced referral-level cases.

The role is suitable for Veterinary Surgeons at all stages of their careers, from new graduates seeking structured support to experienced clinicians looking to pursue certificates and advanced clinical interests. You will work with a varied caseload encompassing routine medicine and surgery, emergency and critical care, and more advanced disciplines including neurosurgery, orthopaedics, minimally invasive surgery, stem cell therapy, chemotherapy, and endoscopy.

Team Size
The team consists of 15 Veterinary Surgeons (including a dedicated out-of-hours team), 24 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 3 Student Veterinary Nurses, 5 Animal Care Assistants, and an experienced non-clinical support team.

Practice Details
The hospital is an RCVS-recognised Outstanding Small Animal Hospital and Emergency Services Clinic with five Outstanding RCVS awards. It provides first-opinion, emergency, and referral-level services under one roof, allowing continuity of care from initial presentation through to advanced treatment.

Specialist services include neurosurgery, orthopaedics, minimally invasive surgery, chemotherapy, stem cell therapy, and endoscopy. The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology, supporting a wide range of complex medical and surgical cases.

Ideal Candidate
