Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is an independent, RCVS-accredited practice seeking an experienced Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their expanding and highly respected team. With a strong reputation for delivering outstanding clinical care and exceptional client service, they are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic vet to complement their progressive first opinion team.
Rota Details
The position is available on a full-time basis, with part-time applications also welcomed. Full-time vets work a 4-day week and take part in a 1 in 4 weekend rota. There are no OOH responsibilities, and consultations are scheduled in 20-minute slots to support a high standard of care and ensure a healthy work-life balance.
Information About the Practice
The practice is supported by a highly experienced team of 5 Vets that includes an Internal Medicine specialist (ACVIM), a surgery certificate holder, general practitioners, and a team of dedicated RVNs. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and committed to maintaining clinical excellence.
Description of the Role
The role involves both consulting and performing routine soft tissue surgeries, with opportunities for more advanced procedures depending on experience and interest. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider clinical team to deliver a consistently high level of patient and client care in a well-organised and positive setting.

The ideal applicant will be confident in both consultations and routine surgery, with excellent communication skills and a team-focused approach. The practice is open to applications from those pursuing further qualifications or those who already hold certificates and are looking to put their expertise to good use.
Practice Equipment List
Facilities include digital x-ray, ultrasound, laparoscopy, endoscopy, an in-house laboratory, isolation ward, separate cat and dog waiting areas, consult rooms, preparation rooms, theatres, and wards.
