Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice is a well-equipped and progressive veterinary clinic, part of a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering accessible, high-quality care. The clinic offers a collaborative and inclusive environment, supporting both first opinion and more advanced cases while maintaining a strong focus on clinical excellence.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time role working 38–40 hours per week across a 4-day rota. The position includes a 2 in 9 Saturday rotation. No additional out-of-hours requirements are specified.

Role Description
This is a balanced Veterinary Surgeon role offering a 50/50 split between consulting and surgery. You will manage a varied caseload of both medical and surgical cases, with a particular focus on performing more complex soft tissue surgeries independently.

In addition to clinical duties, you will play an important role in mentoring and supporting other veterinary surgeons, helping to develop their surgical skills and confidence. This position offers excellent opportunities to contribute to clinical development within the team while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Team Size
You will be part of a friendly and experienced team of veterinary surgeons and support staff, working closely together to deliver high standards of patient care.

Practice Details
The clinic is modern and well-equipped, featuring five consultation rooms, two advanced theatres, and a dedicated dental suite. It also includes separate dog and cat wards to support low-stress patient care. The practice handles a diverse caseload and benefits from the presence of an on-site orthopaedic surgeon, enhancing clinical expertise and case management capabilities.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon confident in both consulting and surgery, particularly complex soft tissue procedures. You will have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for mentoring and developing colleagues. A collaborative mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible care are essential.
