Job Description

Introduction
Our Client is an independent, growing veterinary group seeking a dynamic and experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their modern Amersham practice. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a purpose-built facility within a supportive, collaborative team and be part of a progressive group that values staff development and work-life balance.

Rota Details
The role is offered full-time as a 4-day week with every third Saturday morning. Part-time arrangements are also available. There is no on-call, no Sunday work, and no bank holiday shifts, supporting a balanced work-life schedule.

Information About the Practice
The practice opened in 2023 and has experienced rapid growth of approximately 50% per annum. It forms part of a larger group of 13 practices, offering the stability and support of a sizeable veterinary network while retaining the benefits of a family-owned independent business. The Amersham surgery features digital radiography, ultrasonography, an Idexx in-house integrated laboratory, and dedicated surgical facilities used by visiting specialist surgeons.

Description of the Role
The successful candidate will work alongside other permanent vets and peripatetic medical and surgical teams. Initially, the role will be sole-charge, with full group support from 25 clinicians and 100 staff across the network. Responsibilities include providing high-quality preventive care, diagnosing and treating medical and surgical cases, and contributing to the ongoing growth and development of the practice.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal applicant will be an experienced Veterinary Surgeon who is confident working autonomously while embracing a team-based approach. They should be adaptable, proactive, and committed to delivering high standards of patient care. Experience in both routine and more complex medical or surgical procedures is advantageous.

Practice Equipment List
The surgery is fully equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical facilities, including digital radiography, ultrasonography, an in-house Idexx laboratory, and dedicated surgical suites. Visiting specialist surgeons also provide additional support for advanced cases.
