Job Description
Introduction
Our Client is an independently owned, not-for-profit veterinary hospital providing accessible, affordable, high-quality veterinary care. As the UK’s only veterinary Community Interest Company (CIC), the organisation is committed to removing financial barriers to treatment through free daytime consultations and transparent pricing. An exciting opportunity has arisen for Registered Veterinary Nurses to join a brand-new 24-hour hospital, supporting first opinion, referral and out-of-hours services.
Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week across a four-day week. The role includes a shared rota of 2 in 9 weekends with time off in lieu, along with a share of bank holiday duties.
Role Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established hospital and be part of a growing multidisciplinary team. Working within a nurse-led environment, you will be encouraged to fully utilise your nursing skills while caring for a varied caseload across first opinion, referral and emergency patients. The role offers excellent opportunities for professional development, supported by a collaborative team and funded CPD to certificate level.
Team Size
You will join a growing team of veterinary surgeons, registered veterinary nurses and support staff, all working together to deliver exceptional patient care within a modern, supportive clinical environment.
Practice Details & Equipment
This purpose-built 24-hour veterinary hospital has been designed to support both patients and staff. Facilities include seven consultation rooms, three operating theatres, a dedicated end-of-life room, separate dog and cat wards, isolation facilities, a fully equipped dental suite, a diagnostics suite and a digital X-ray room. The hospital also benefits from spacious staff facilities and provides first opinion, referral and out-of-hours services under one roof.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse who is passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and making full use of their nursing skills. You will enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, thrive in a busy hospital environment and be eager to continue developing your clinical knowledge through a varied caseload and ongoing CPD opportunities.
