The team is passionate about delivering exceptional clinical care while also providing a holistic approach that supports both pets and their owners. With strong local ties built over decades, the practice prides itself on compassionate care, professionalism, and building lasting client relationships.
Working Hours / Rota
This role offers 40 hours per week, with part-time hours also considered for the right candidate. Shifts are scheduled between 8:00am and 6:30pm, with a 1 in 3 Saturday rota from 8:30am to 1:00pm. There are no out-of-hours requirements, and the practice is open to flexible working arrangements.
Role Description
This is a varied and rewarding RVN position within a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be responsible for delivering high standards of surgical nursing and inpatient care, while also contributing to the development and expansion of nurse-led clinics, including wellbeing assessments and community nursing initiatives. The role offers strong opportunities for professional growth, encouraging you to utilise your full skill set and play an active role in new projects and clinical development.
Team Size
You will join a friendly, supportive, and close-knit team of veterinary professionals who work collaboratively and value each team member’s contribution, creating a positive and enjoyable working environment.
Practice Details
The practice is RCVS Practice Standards Scheme accredited and operates as a well-established small animal clinic with a strong community presence. It has built long-standing relationships with clients over many years and is committed to delivering high-quality clinical care alongside a holistic and compassionate approach. The practice also supports outreach and charity work and offers a progressive and supportive workplace culture.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a qualified RVN, with applications welcomed from newly qualified nurses through to more experienced individuals. You will have a strong passion for both patient and client care, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset. A desire to contribute to the development of nurse-led services and practice growth is important, and while a clinical coach qualification is desirable, it is not essential.
