Job Description

Introduction
Our Client’s practice in Lawley is looking for a Part Time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join its kind and caring team on a permanent basis, with full-time hours also considered. The practice prides itself on delivering a full range of veterinary services within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Working Hours / Rota
This role offers at least 32 hours per week across 3 days, with full-time hours also considered. The rota includes 1 in 6 weekends at a nearby 24-hour hospital, one bank holiday per year and one week of on-call duties annually.

Role Description
The successful candidate will support surgeries and procedures, complete pre and post-operative care, carry out nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities, and provide exceptional patient monitoring and care. Additional duties include managing admissions and discharges, dispensing and checking medication, coordinating patient transfers, and helping engage and organise the team to ensure the smooth running of the practice. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to nurse consults and practice performance.

Team Size
The practice is supported by an Operational Support Manager, Lead Vet, Head RVN and an experienced veterinary and nursing team.

The practice offers a full range of veterinary services and facilities including nurse clinics and dental procedures. The clinic is well-equipped and supported by a wider veterinary network including a nearby 24-hour hospital. Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with experience delivering exceptional patient and client care. They will work effectively as part of a team, be confident supporting nurse consults, and possess strong coaching and influencing skills to help develop colleagues and contribute positively to practice performance.
